"Where are you going to take the wine" Bell Nine asked.

"I have a use for this wine, as I told you earlier. Don't ask what it is for, but just know that I'll keep your barrel of wine at my place," Xianyao said with a smile and then left the winery.

After leaving the winery, he first returned to his residence and put most of the wine in a large wooden box. This box was custom-made by Xianyao himself; it contained plenty of cushioning material to ensure that every barrel would be safe.

This seems like he's preparing to transport them. But how does he plan on doing this

"Chu..."

Xianyao whistled, and four carrier eagles swooped down from the sky. Each of these carrier eagles had a robust physique that ordinary carrier eagles didn't have; they seemed to be improved versions.

That's right, these were Xianyao’s improved carrier eagles. These four carrier eagles belonged to him, Miss Big Sister (the eldest sister), Nan Gong Susi (the fourth sister), and the third Miss Nan Gong.

He intended to use these four carrier eagles to transport the wine for Miss Big Sister. He had calculated their carrying capacity; they should still have enough strength left to carry all this wine.

Soon, Xianyao put on special harnesses for the four carrier eagles and attached the rope from the box to them before allowing them to take off together.

"Swoosh..."

The carrier eagles flew quite fast, disappearing into the sky...

"What What was that just now" Bell Ling suddenly appeared out of nowhere and looked up at the sky. She was a bit confused about what had flown away.

"Nothing much. Just some carrier eagles. Why are you here" Xianyao casually asked her.

"I'm going to close myself in for cultivation; I’ve been feeling like I’m nearing my bottleneck lately with the medicinal pills you gave me. I’ll talk to you later, off to cultivate!" Bell Ling just as suddenly disappeared as she had appeared.

"Time to go and do something important: deliver wine to Father whom I've never met!" Xianyao picked up a barrel of wine and headed accurately towards Lu Yuntian. The reason he was going on the pretense that he needed his opinion on the wine, which Lu Yuntian wouldn't refuse as it seemed reasonable.

Having Lu Yuntian taste the wine would be what anyone would think to do because, being a drunkard who has been drinking for twenty years, no one could surpass him in assessing the quality of wine!

But not many dared to do this as they were afraid of getting lectured by Yun Qingyi. Yun Qingyi did not support Lu Yuntian's drinking habit; it was just that she had no choice but to tolerate it with Lu Yuntian, yet she would inquire deeply about others.

Xianyao didn't care; after meeting with Lu Yuntian, he wanted to meet Yun Qingyi too...

But the problem was that he didn’t know where Lu Yuntian was. Luckily, Xianyao knew today that Lu Yuntian would appear on Thinks Cliff in West Mountain as someone had seen him heading there.

"Ten years of life and death apart..."

After arriving at Thinks Cliff, Xianyao heard a low voice reciting poetry with hints of sorrow and intense longing.

The owner of this voice was Lu Yuntian. He stood on the edge of the cliff, reciting poems towards the sky with his face filled with mournful nostalgia.

At that moment when he saw Lu Yuntian, Xianyao understood that the man before him was his father; this feeling was even stronger than what he had felt from Yinping. The answers he sought were right in front of him now.

Sadness Whom are you missing Me

Is it me Then why have you never searched for me What hardships do you bear that compel you to be so distant

...

"Who are you" Lu Yuntian did not turn around but asked instead. He usually wouldn't mind who approached this place, as it wasn’t his private territory; however, Xianyao had approached him personally, which made him ask.

"I am Le Xiaoyao. I have brought some wine for you to taste," Xianyao said with a slight smile and held up the barrel of wine.

Their meeting seemed quite ordinary, as if they were strangers; Lu Yuntian wouldn't have imagined that the young man now standing before him was his son, whom he thought would never be seen again.

"Wine You've chosen the right person; everyone calls me a drunkard..." Lu Yuntian smiled and said with a hint of self-mockery.

"I know, that's why I asked you to taste it. This wine is something I brewed myself, and I believe there are few wines in this world comparable to it." Xianyao spoke calmly as he began to open the seal on the wine bottle.

"You certainly have confidence. What I fear most is that your experience might be too limited; how many fine wines could you possibly know... Ah, good wine indeed! Just from this aroma alone, it's something I've never encountered before. Perhaps what you said is true." Lu Yuntian intended to point out Xianyao’s arrogance but quickly changed his mind because the moment Xianyao opened the seal, that captivating aroma instantly conquered him.

"Here, please drink!" Xianyao poured the wine into two bowls, one for each of them.

"Thank you! Bottoms up!" Lu Yuntian was very straightforward and directly picked up his bowl to drain it in one go. He seemed not to have even doubted that if Xianyao had poisoned this drink, he would simply drink it anyway.

He didn’t have the same feeling towards Xianyao as others might; after all, people with such feelings were rare. But he did trust him, because Xianyao was from his own family, and that could be seen clearly from the jade token of the Lu Family which couldn't be easily deceived.

Moreover, he had been in depression for twenty years; who would care about a drunkard like him No one would scheme against him. If someone wanted to kill him, they'd just do it directly since he often found himself alone.

"Bottoms up!" Xianyao downed his bowl as well and looked at Lu Yuntian, seemingly waiting for an evaluation.

"Excellent wine! Indeed a rare delicacy in this world. Is this really your own creation" Lu Yuntian stared at Xianyao, continuously praising the fine wine while also showing some doubt; such high-quality liquor didn’t seem something a young man could brew.

However, if it wasn't his creation, what reason would he have to deceive him That seemed unnecessary, right

"Yes, I brewed this. It's based on an ancient recipe with some of my own improvements. The taste and purity are both top-notch." Xianyao nodded as he explained.

"Do you still have any left I want to shamelessly ask for a few more barrels," Lu Yuntian asked.

"Not much is left now, but it only takes a month to brew. Next month, I can supply you with several barrels if you like." Xianyao replied; today he just wanted to get acquainted with Lu Yuntian and didn’t plan on delving too deeply into the matter to avoid arousing suspicion, although if an opportunity arose, he wouldn't let it slip.

"That sounds perfect. It can temporarily ease worries and sorrows—tomorrow’s troubles will be tomorrow's, today's worries for today!" Lu Yuntian drank another bowl of wine before proclaiming loudly as if to release his pent-up emotions.

“True though it may be, problems still need solving. Drinking doesn’t solve problems; it just makes them worse!” Xianyao said calmly without revealing any emotion or intention behind the words.

"Sigh..." Lu Yuntian sighed and said, "I know that problems only multiply but apart from drowning myself in alcohol, I have no other choice."

“Why do you say such things Aren't you already with the person you love and even have children” Xianyao couldn’t understand why Lu Yuntian had these thoughts all of a sudden. Of course, he wouldn't let this chance slip by.

"The beloved person... Ha ha... Are you Xianyao I want to ask you something: What is love" Suddenly laughing, Lu Yuntian turned around and asked Xianyao.

What was love This question perplexed even Xianyao because there wasn't a clear answer. He had never experienced love himself so he couldn’t provide an explanation.

The strangest part was why Lu Yuntian would ask such a question.

"Isn't it confusing The passionate love everyone talks about is mostly just an illusion; perhaps, after experiencing that passion, they can no longer be together! According to my understanding, only when two people truly live together does their relationship become genuine. Whether there's love or not doesn’t matter at all! Don't blindly pursue love, as it will hurt you deeply." Lu Yuntian took another sip of wine while speaking with a faint trace of sorrow.

It seemed there was a significant problem in between them!

"You're already together with Fairy Qingyun. Why do you have such strong feelings" Xianyao questioned, puzzled.

"Fairy Qingyun... Everyone knows that we’re childhood sweethearts and know about our elopement for love, but they only know the surface of things! Life isn’t just about emotion; perhaps, our relationship couldn't withstand the trials of life. Perhaps, we were too naive..." Speaking while drinking, Lu Yuntian took another sip.

What did he mean Was it because they hadn’t foreseen the hardships of their marriage and thus fell into conflict This could be understood; most romances died under the pressure of real life. Someone might initially think that without this person, life wasn't worth living, but after marriage, they found their partner wasn't as perfect as imagined.

Love was merely a fleeting feeling at first, and to live together required mutual tolerance beyond just love, which was crucial.

Xianyao had indeed thought about this. From the superficial harmony between Lu Yuntian and his wife but their apparent spiritual distance, he imagined many possibilities, including that after marriage they began arguing and falling out of love while being forced to remain together because of circumstances.

It wasn’t that they didn't have feelings for each other; perhaps they had unique emotions no one else shared. But due to various reasons, their relationship was strained.

The cause might be a major issue or just a small matter. Sometimes, couples quarrel over trivial things and continue fighting only because of the fight itself rather than the original issue.

At this point, it was hard for Xianyao to say what the exact situation between Lu Yuntian and his wife was; he needed more information.(To be continued)anyao dealt his cards casually. However, this greatly disappointed the trio because he did not discard any tile they needed to win.In fact, even if he had discarded them, they wouldn’t have necessaril...
